The full size 2 sided cube is better suited for more things obviously, but the quality, concept and utility of these cubes are all excellent. There are no other 2 sided cubes on the market that I am aware of. The water resistant side is poly coated and sealed so that it's contents stay dry, the poly side is also ripstop so it is durable (though hard to see through if you want to out a labeled card or something inside). Rolled items seems to fit better than stacked or folded items. The mesh side is just that, breathable and is it's own compartment. These are nice bags. If you are deciding between the full or the 1/2, I recommend going up the full. Also, the carry handle is good for attaching a caribiner or strap to attach it to another bag, etc.
